Mushroom Burger
I've never seen mushrooms such as these in my entire life. My co-participants in the WebPage Development training in Tagaytay went to the Mushroom Burger station after the day's session just to eat this stuff. I ordered mushroom burger w/ cheese and sweet mushroom drink. It's the best burger I've ever tasted.

Is it Safe to Travel?
With the Swine Flu Outbreak, is it safe to travel?
Influenza A(H1N1) has already been confirmed in many parts of the world. The global response now focuses on minimizing the impact of the virus through the rapid identification of cases, and providing patients with appropriate medical care, rather than on stopping its spread internationally.
Although identifying signs and symptoms of influenza in travellers can help track the path of the outbreak, it will not reduce the spread of influenza, as the virus can be transmitted from person to person before the onset of symptoms.
Scientific research based on mathematical modelling shows that restricting travel would be of limited or no benefit in stopping the spread of disease. Historical records of previous influenza pandemics, as well as experience with SARS, validate this.

Taking Digital Pictures
I am trying to learn how to take pictures using my digital camera and my sony ericsson phone. I don't know how to compose my shot before. I learned that composition is important because it helps set the mood for the shot and tells a story. It can also be used to evoke an emotional response from the viewer. If you keep composition in mind whenever you look into your viewfinder, it will eventually become second nature to you.
The pictures below are the photos I took at Mayo Bay Park and Beach Resort in Mati, Davao Oriental yesterday. I am hopeful to move out of the amateur ranks and turn to pro in photography :)

Travel Sickness
Last week end, I suffered a travel sickness on my way to the next town. It resulted to the feeling of nausea and I felt like I wanted to vomit. I usually sit in the first row of the bus where I can get a clear view of the road but unfortunately the seats were taken so I was seated at the 5th row of the bus. I tried not to watch TV so that I would not feel quesy. But nevertheless, the motion of the bus still made me feel sick. The following pictures below show the road going to that town.
Travel, or motion, sickness occurs when repetitive small movements mean the brain is sent mixed messages. The eyes say one thing about the position of the body, while the delicate inner ear balance mechanisms are reporting something different.
Prevention and treatment
The following can help to reduce the chance of travel sickness:
- Avoiding heavy meals and alcohol before travelling.
- Keeping still with eyes closed.
- Anti-sickness medicines from the pharmacist. These should be taken before travel according to the instructions so they have time to be absorbed by the body.
- Ginger or peppermint remedies. Ginger can be taken as a biscuit, tea or in crystallised form, while peppermint can be sucked as a sweet or taken as a tea.
- Acupressure. This can be applied using a wristband or by pressing your finger against the middle of the inner wrist about three finger widths above the crease where the wrist joins the hand.

Spending time at the beach
I had a stressful week so I went to the beach to spend my week end with my boo. It was a little bit rainy when we got there but the sun came out later in the afternoon. It was so relaxing to just sit and watch the waves and feel the breeze. I felt rejuvenated and I was able to sleep all day. What a great week end!

Panas Falls
My trip to Panas Falls with my family and relatives was such a great fun. Everybody is full of excitement on our way to the place. Panas Falls is located at Carcor, New Corella, Davao del Norte. It's about 45 mins drive from Tagum City. The place is developed and managed by the Province of Davao del Norte. It was rehabilitated for the past years since they are protecting the watershed which provides water in the surrounding area. Entrance Fee is only Php 5 and open cottages rental cost Php 30 - 50. The water is clean and the whole place is very peaceful. It is definitely a great place to spend time to relax and enjoy nature.
