PAL unveils holiday ticket promo

Philippine Airlines (PAL) will launch on Wednesday its biggest, longest and most exciting international and domestic ticket sale for the year titled “12 days of Christmas.”

PAL is offering giveaway rates for all its international and domestic destinations for the next 12 days starting Wednesday, December 14, until December 26. Travel period is from January 10 to March 15, 2012. All tickets will earn double miles under PAL’s Mabuhay Miles program.

PAL service provider now hiring

The service provider of flag carrier Philippine Airlines is in a mass hiring mode with 1800 job openings for ground handling and customer service agent positions.  This was announced Thursday by SkyLogistics and SkyKitchens president Rory Jon Sepulveda who said they need to fill the posts vacated by former PAL Employee Association (PALEA) members who went on a wildcat strike last week.

Passenger gives birth on a plane

A Filipina passenger onboard a Philippine Airlines flight bound for San Francisco, California gave birth to a bouncing baby boy last Tuesday (Manila time) just hours before landing at the Bay Area airport.

PR104 departed Manila for San Francisco last Monday at 10:24 pm.

Some eight hours into flight, Aida Alamillo, a passenger who was assigned to seat 83J suddenly experienced contractions forcing her to call on the PAL flight attendants for assistance.
