PH Island Tops Vogue’s List

Philippine tourism got a worldwide boost again this week with British Vogue magazine ranking a resort island in Palawan as its top destination for a rich-and-famous getaway, the Department of Tourism (DOT) reported Monday.

Palawan’s Ariara Island is set to grace the glossy pages of British Vogue magazine in August, 2012, besting other hot destinations like New York’s The Standard hotel, Italy’s Monstero Santa Rosa, and Maldive’s Reethi Rah, to name a few.

Boracay ranked 2nd in "Best Beaches in the World" list compiled by TripAdvisor

Boracay was ranked second in TripAdvisor's Traveler's Choice roster for the "Best Beaches in the World" for 2011.  Based on user reviews, TripAdvisor picked 25 spots all over the world that boast of great beaches. TripAdvisor commended Boracay: "Yapak Beach is known for beautiful white shells; White Beach has picture-perfect sunsets; and Balinghai Beach is a secluded spot, perfect for honeymooners."

Sports Unlimited: Beach games with the Azkals

Sports Unlimited and The Azkals continued their fun competition in Misibis Bay Resort in Cagraray Island, Bacacay, Albay.

Earlier, Sports Unlimited-Misibis Bay Team won the go-kart relay, making Dyan and Marc’s group ahead by one point in the competition. They decided to carry on their duel at the beach.
