6.9 Magnitude Quake Jolts Negros Oriental
A strong earthquake measuring 6.9-magnitude on the Richter scale jolted Negros Oriental shortly before noon Monday that was felt in some parts of the country, prompting the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) to issue tsunami alert over the affected areas.
The earthquake was recorded at 11:49 a.m. Monday with its epicenter located 10 km northwest of Negros Oriental.
According to Phivolcs science research assistant Margarita Dizon, Tsunami Alert Level 0 was issued among areas that felt the strong earthquake.
Dizon said the Tsunami Alert Level 0 reminds the public to be on alert for possible waves generated by the earthquake.
She added that the public should stay away from the shoreline.

Sorry about the earthquake disaster, hopefully not a lot of casualties who died.
It’s very sad. Lord hears for our prayer for these people who are victims, died and survives of this tragedy.
Nice post. Thanks for sharing. I hope that preventative measures can be put in place soon. One thing that can be done which costs nothing is each individual take responsibility for their garbage and put it where it belongs instead of throwing it all over the streets, rivers, and everywhere else.
