Dionie C. Reyes, the government employee who spent all his lotto winnings of over P14 million in just three months in 2008, is back in the long betting line praying for a second chance at the jackpot.
At 47, Reyes said he has no regrets over squandering most of his money on vices – gambling, nightly drinking sprees, and womanizing – but that one more chance to win a lotto jackpot will be different.

Lotto Winner Spends P14M In Just 3 Months
For three months, Dionie Reyes (DR) – winner of P14,125,032 in the Lotto 6/42 draw on April 22, 2008 – lived the life of a millionaire, something he had been longing to experience.
He lived in a P4-million house in a posh subdivision, drove around in a sports utility vehicle (SUV), and gave goodwill money, ranging P1,000 to P 850,000, to relatives and friends. He also gambled daily, womanized, and went on regular drinking sprees.

Birthdates Combinations Lead To Jackpot
A 35-year-old seaman of Laguna won P21 million in jackpot, while a 33-year-old domestic helper of Batangas City working abroad grabbed P4.9 million in separate draws of Mega Lotto 6/45.
The seaman plans to quit his job in an international shipping line, while the maid will continue working abroad. Both of them hit the jackpot using family members' birth dates.

Chase For 6/55 Lottery Pot, Now P228M Is Still On
Long lines are expected on Wednesday in lottery outlets as the frenzy and chase for Grand Lotto 6/55's jackpot seen at about P228 million for Wednesday, is still alive after the 279th draw produced no winner of the P213.77-million bonanza.
The last draw conducted by the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) at its Draw Court in Pasay City, where the public is allowed to watch, came up with the winning combination of 20-37-35-27-50-42.

6/55 lotto jackpot at P130M
Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) General Manager Jose Ferdinand M. Rojas II Friday said the jackpot for Grand Lotto Saturday is expected to reach P130 million, biggest so far in 2012.
Rojas appealed to Filipinos to continue supporting the agency's charity mission for the poor patients through their lotto bets. "I hope there would be at least one winner of the P130 million jackpot," he said.

Lotto winner borrows money for fare to Manila
A 52-year-old low-salaried government worker of Pagadian City, Zamboanga del Sur, was forced to borrow money, although rejected by many of his neighbors, to defray the cost of plane fares that would take him and his wife to Manila to claim the P40,230,496.80 jackpot he won on the December 11 lotto draw.

Single parent wins P27-M lotto
A former overseas Filipino worker and a single mother in Pampanga quit her job six years ago and turned to betting on online lotteries. As luck would have it, her family's birth dates proved lucky, winning for her P27,824,025.60 in the December 7 draw of Mega Lotto 6/45.

PCSO: 2 winners hit P134.62M Grand Lotto jackpot
Two lotto bettors will each be P67.312 million richer after they hit the P134.625-million jackpot in the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office's Grand Lotto draw Monday night.
According to the PCSO, the two got the winning combination of 01-55-11-03-27-49 to win the jackpot worth P134,624,790.
But as in the past, the PCSO is not expected to divulge the winners' identities for security reasons.

PCSO lotto jackpots remain elusive
Increasing jackpots of the various on-line lotteries of the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) continue to elude millions of punters as of Wednesday, with Grand Lotto 6/55 having the biggest jackpot at P77,177,499.20.
This was learned from PCSO General Manager Jose Ferdinand M. Rojas II, who wished that bettors would have the chance to grab the jackpots in time for their Yuletide needs.
