Travel For Free This Summer!

With students on vacation and the Lenten season around the corner, it seems that summertime presents great travel opportunities for people nationwide. Some would go home to their respective provinces for family gatherings, while others would probably hit the country’s numerous mountains and beaches for a much-deserved break.
In the process of making travel plans, it’s possible that some would even take advantage of free transportation services available, such as what Globe telecom offers now for its prepaid users.
Emphasizing a "go lang ng go" attitude, Globe recently launched its Globe Prepaid Love Bus and Love Boat to let consumers travel for free, in line with Globe Prepaid’s credo of being "youthful and dynamic." According to Crismer Tiria, brand manager for Globe Prepaid, "These are manifestations of our branding. Beyond the free rides, [we want consumers] to just ‘go lang ng go’ for the summer vacation."

For Lent, Globe has arranged free provincial bus trips going to Batangas and La Union on April 4 and 5, with return trips scheduled on April 8 and 9. By pre-registering online in Globe’s official Facebook page, subscribers can book their preferred schedule in advance and receive an SMS bus ticket upon confirmation.
From April 10 to May 10, Globe encourages users ages 14 to 24 years old to take advantage of the Love Bus on free trips across Metro Manila. The trip has stopovers at TriNoma, Ortigas MRT station, SM Megamall, the Ayala area in Makati City and the SM Mall of Asia from 10:00 am to 6:00 or 7:00 pm. Recognizing the youth as an increasing active online community, Tiria shares that youngsters can even take pictures next to the Love Bus upon disembarkation and post it on Facebook. The best pictures may receive prizes from Globe.
Tiria says that every Love Bus ride is set to be a "fun-filled" experience, complemented by a number of activities, games and freebies while en route to different destinations.
And, in addition, the Globe Prepaid Love Boat will also bring travelers back and forth from Caticlan to Boracay starting April 13 to 15.
"We promise to make summer travels fast, fun and easy," says KD Dizon, head for Globe Prepaid, who compares the said transportation services to Globe’s newest quick service menu, accessible via dialing *143#, which allows consumers to avail of and register for network promos easily without memorizing key words or registration codes. It’s about easy and convenient navigation for services like international roaming, text and surf promos, among others.
Pre-registration for the Globe Love Bus and Love Boat can be made inhttp://www.facebook.com/globeph. Just click on the Love Bus icon to launch the registration app, where you can book your preferred schedule. Subscribers will then receive an SMS confirmation, which will also serve as their official transportation ticket.
