Kris Aquino wants to 'date' Sen. Miriam Santiago

If she were a man, Kris Aquino would prefer to date feisty lawyer and senator, Miriam Defensor-Santiago.

In a guest appearance with her “Segunda Mano” leading man Dingdong Dantes in the first-ever live episode of “Gandang Gabi Vice,” Jan. 8, host Vice Ganda read a netizen’s question for Kris, which went, “In her opinion, if she were a man, who will she want to date—Sen. Miriam, PGMA (former president Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo), or Imelda Marcos?”

Although she was hesitant to answer initially, Kris finally gave in, saying, “I really have to choose? Okay. Si Sen. Miriam, kasi kailangan namin ng boto niya sa impeachment.”

Sen. Miriam has earlier expressed her acquiescence to the impeachment trial against Supreme Court Justice Renato Corona, but strongly cautioned her fellow senators—who will serve as judges on the case—to study the matter meticulously and responsibly, reported ABS-CBN News. Kris’ brother, president Noynoy Aquino, had often questioned the legitimacy of the appointment of Justice Corona, who’s considered an ally of incumbent Pampanga Representative Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo.

Vice then kidded Kris, “Bibig niyo pa lang dalawa [ni Sen. Miriam], rally na,” prompting cheers from the audience.

Looking playfully dissatisfied with his good friend’s response, Vice queried Kris, “Eh kung ide-date mo si PGMA, sa'n mo siya dadalhin?”

The Queen of All Media initially refused to respond, exclaiming, “Eh pinili ko na nga si Sen. Miriam eh!”

Vice, however, was persistent.

“Eh busy si Sen. Miriam, paos. Kung si GMA, sa'n mo siya dadalhin?” he asked again.

“I don’t like. Papagalitan ako. Nag-mature na 'ko ah,” said Kris.
