Maja speaks up on Coco's decision to not work with her

Maja Salvador respects Coco Martin’s decision to not work with her in the meantime “out of respect” for her boyfriend, Matteo Guidicelli.

As reported by Push.com.ph, Coco admitted during his birthday press conference on Nov. 15 that he personally asked ABS-CBN’s talent management arm Star Magic to avoid putting him and Maja in the same projects. This is in light of his and Matteo’s well-publicized altercation at the Star Magic Ball held last Sept. 3, which Maja herself admitted to have caused.

Coco, who last worked with Maja on “Minsan Lang Kita Iibigin,” explained, “Alam ko ‘yung pinanggagalingan na selos ni Matteo. Ayoko na maulit ‘yun. At bilang lalaki at bilang tao, sabi ko, ngayong alam ko na, bakit ko pa uulitin ‘yun. Ayoko na makaapak ng ibang tao.

“Napaka-insensitive ko naman na tao kung alam ko na nga na ‘yun ang pinanggagalingan tapos uulitin ko pa.”

For her part, Maja said in a separate report also by Push.com.ph on Nov. 25, “Kung hindi pa siya ready makipagtrabaho sa akin dahil ‘yun ‘yung reason nya, irespeto na lang natin. In time din naman darating na maaayos lahat, makakalimutan din lahat ang nangyari.”

The actress added, “Okay lang naman na lahat. Let’s move on and be happy na kalimutan na ang lahat nung nangyari last September. November na Christmas na oh, peace na, love, love.”

However, Maja and Coco haven’t had the chance to talk to each other yet since the incident.

But while Coco avoids working with Maja, he hopes to do a project with Angel Locsin.

“Kung mabibigyan ng pagkakataon, sa mga ka-henerasyon ko, gusto kong makatambal si Angel Locsin. Isa siya sa hinahangaan ko bilang artista at katrabaho, kasi alam ko na propesyonal siya at mabait.

“Sabi ko nga, hindi na isyu ang galing. Pero ‘yung propesyonal sa trabaho, doon ako naglu-look forward. Kasi siguradong magaan ka-trabaho,” Coco was quoted as saying in a separate article also by Push.com.ph, Nov. 25.
