Pressurized water can be used to cut through almost anything

Water jet cutters function in much the same way that the power of focused light can be harnessed in to cut through objects using a laser beam. This method of slicing typically even outstrips conventional techniques such as blowtorches and diamond-plated saw blades!

The increased pressure of the water translates to a equivalent surge in the liquid’s velocity, just like when you spray water by sticking your thumb over the garden hose. Gallons of this pressurized water concentrated in a very small jet makes for some serious cutting power!
