Fern Salad

Have you eaten a Fern Salad already? It's one of my favorites. Fern salad may be a strange combination but it is delicious. My sister prepared a pako salad last night for dinner. We call it pako here in our place. I dont know the scientific name for this kind of fern. But still you should remember that not all ferns you can eat, some kinds of them are toxic. And it is better to buy it in the special markets. . If you do find it in your neck of the woods, don’t hesitate to purchase a bunch or two. They’re good for salads … on its own or mixed with other greens.

The picture above is a fern salad on its own. All you need to do is blanch the leaves really briefly with hot water and then serve with vinaigrette dressing. A vinegar and garlic mixture is good for this.
