It appears that Heart Evangelista has become more comfortable talking about her love life following Sen. Francis “Chiz” Escudero’s admission of their romantic relationship last Friday
Revealing the senator’s qualities that she finds endearing, Heart tells PEP in an interview posted on Oct. 7 that, “He’s such a nice person. Seryoso siya pagdating sa mga dapat na seryosohin, pero napakasimpleng tao lang niya… Nakakatuwa kasi he’s someone that you can really look up to, kasi nakikibagay talaga siya sa iba’t ibang klase ng tao.”
The Kapuso actress also found the senator’s being sincere with all kids of people unique.
“Kasi, especially he’s a politician, it’s really refreshing to see somebody like that. Minsan tahimik siya, pero napakabait niya. Nakakatuwa siya. He’s really down to earth, such a simple person as well,” she said.
Heart doesn’t mind that there’s a 16-year age gap between them, especially since she “learn[s] so much [from him].” She also said that she doesn’t feel the pressure of being a “senator’s girlfriend” just yet, but expressed that “this time around, in [a] way, I’d like to keep things a bit private.”
She explained further, “Hindi naman sa may itinatago ako or anything. Just, you know, ‘yung relaxed lang na kind of relationship. Siguro it’s better that way para nga hindi maunahan ng mga intriga.”
Meanwhile, Heart is happy that her boyfriend is “very supportive” of her career. “At supportive din naman ako sa trabaho niya,” she added.
However, the actress said that she’s not entertaining thoughts of entering politics because she's “so busy with what I’m doing now.”
“It’s something that I don’t think of na because I have so much that I wanted to do pa, e,” said she.
Despite their respective busy schedules, Heart and Sen. Chiz have managed to make time for each other.
“Kung gugustuhin n’yo namang magkita, magkikita at magkikita kayo. In a relationship, you do make time for each other,” she said.
Asked if she thought Sen. Chiz is “the one” for her, Heart told PEP, “In every relationship, you’d like to think so.”
