Hajj Listing Until July 16

If you are a Muslim and intend to perform the pilgrimage to Makkah, Saudi Arabia, in October, 2012, you only have until July 16 to register with the National Commission on Muslim Filipinos (NCMF).
The Commission earlier asked the Saudi Ministry of Hajj for a quota of 6,000 hajj visas. NCMF is required to inform the Saudi ministry of the actual number of paid pilgrims after the cut-off date.
Lawyer Mehol K. Sadain, NCMF secretary and chief executive officer, made this clear yesterday, saying there will be no more extension of the July 16 cut-off date.

"Actually, the Commission has already extended the pilgrims' registration for one day, because the original deadline was July 15," the NCMF official said.
But since July 15 falls on a Sunday, "we have decided to extend it for one day in fairness to the pilgrims."
