PH Azkals advance!
The PH Azkals defeated Taikistan 2-1 to advance to the semifinals of the 2012 AFC Challenge Cup at the Halchowk Stadium in Kathmandu, Nepal.
The Azkals found themselves trailing in the first half, 0-1, after a controversial goal by a Tajikistan player.
In the second half however, the Azkals came out with incredible character led by Phil Younghusband and Angel Guirado.
Younghusband scored the equalizing goal at the 52-minute mark while Guirado scored a gave the Azkals the lead on a spectacular header in the 79-minute mark.
With the victory, the Azkals now face the Turkmenistan on Friday. The winner of that match will advance to the finals on Monday.
