Who uploaded the Janelle-Ramgen video?

The mystery surrounding the untimely death of actor Ramgen Revilla has taken an even more bizarre turn recently, this, after a video showing him and girlfriend, Janelle Manahan engaging in what seemed to be an intimate sexual moment, surfaced.
Manahan already attested to the authenticity of the video even as she and her lawyers decried its circulation.
Not surprisingly, Manahan’s camp is pointing their fingers at Revilla’s surviving family as among those responsible concerning the video’s sudden materialization and subsequent distribution.
"We are exploring the possibility of filing a case against the brother and sister of Ramgen. Why? Because they have the opportunity and the motive," said Manahan's lawyer Luke Espiritu in an interview on dzBB radio.
Espiritu said the siblings have access to Ramgen's personal effects, possibly including the video footage. He added that the video's circulation was meant as an attack on Manahan’s credibility.
Manahan is testifying against Revilla siblings, Ramon Joseph and Ramona, in the murder case of her boyfriend.
Revilla’s mother, Genelyn, was quick to deny Espiritu’s claims.
"Wala po kaming kinalaman sa lahat na nangyayari. Mismo kami nasasaktan sa nangyayari," said she in a GMA News report.
Jeffrey Gepte, a lawyer for siblings Ramon Joseph and Ramona, insisted that his clients had no access to Revilla’s items.
Gepte said it’s "absurd" to blame the family in the vdeo’s circulation as "it’s a private matter between Ramgen and Janelle. So it would be very absurd for the whole Bautista family to know about it.”
He even went to say that the slain actor's effects are with the ParaƱaque City police.
But a separate GMA News report quoted police chief Senior Superintendent Billy Beltran as saying that they turned over all the evidence relating to the case to the Philippine National Police's Criminal Investigation and Detection Group.
Eventually, Genelyn was caught singing a different tune Wednesday when she admitted that the family has the laptop all along, which, as per Manahan, contained a copy of the sex video.
In a report on abscbnnews.com, she admitted that the laptop was not taken by the police after the actor's murder last October 28.
She, however, said that they could not even use the laptop since they do not know Ramgen's password.
"Naka-lock yung laptop. Wala po kaming access. Basta ang alam po namin yung laptop na yun wala pong nakakaalam nung password ni Ramgen. Maaaring alam ni Janelle ang password. Si Ramgen masyado yang mahigpit, very private na tao," she said.
Magsaysay maintained her denial that she or her children uploaded the sex video from Ramgen's laptop. She also said she does not intend to watch the video.
"Ayaw ko makita ang anak ko sa ganitong sitwasyon. Dapat malaman ng mga tao hindi po namin magagawa iyon sa aming mga anak. Masakit na ang loob naming mag-iina. Wag naman nila bastusin ang kamatayan n Ramgen," she said.
Argee Guevarra, another lawyer of Manahan's said the Revilla matriarch’s admission about the laptop bolsters their theory that it was her family that uploaded the video on the Internet.
"If only members of the Bautista household, including Ms. Genelyn Bautista, have access to Ramgen’s laptop...the legal conclusion could only be that she – or any of her children – were responsible for uploading the sex videos in social networking sites and in various websites," he said in an abscbnnewscom report.
Guevarra also pointed out discrepancies in the former actress’ earlier statement concerning their non-possession of Revilla’s effects.
He added that another Revilla sister, Gail, had already admitted that her family had the laptop in custody but gave the same excuse relating to an inaccessible password.
Meanwhile, Manahan, through her counsels, disclosed that she noticed a post two weeks ago on Genelyn's Facebook wall of what she perceived as a veiled threat.
The post read: “Janelle, wait until the world knows who you really are."
The Facebook post was later deleted instantaneously after the sex video issue became news.
Guevarra said his client also received "belligerent and hostile statements" via Facebook from Ramlyn Bautista, another of Magsaysay's children, before the sex video came out.
Sen. Bong Revilla, Ramgen's half-brother, is asking the National Bureau of Investigation to help identify and prosecute the perpetrators behind the online uploading of the video.
"Sobrang pambababoy ang ginagawa nila sa kapatid ko. Karumal-dumal na nga ang pagkamatay ni Ramgen, sinisira pa nila ang pagkatao," Revilla said in a statement.
"Mas grabe pa ang pambababoy na ginagawa nila kay Janelle. Grabe na ang kanyang pinagdaanan, at pilit pa nilang niyuyurakan ang pagkababae nito ngayon," he added.
Revilla asked the NBI to conduct an investigation and arrest the culprits and prosecute them under the Anti-Voyeurism Law of 2009 (RA 9995), which he co-authored.
For now, though, the guessing continues.
