Psychics, showbiz experts dish out predictions, forecasts
Psychic experts claim that the Year of the Water Dragon will generally be a good one for the local entertainment industry.
For one, many actors and actresses are predicted to bring honor to the country through international recognitions and possible stints in Hollywood.
Bro. Mhon Co, for his part, saw a “very vibrant” industry with more “promising developments.” He also felt that “more people will support the Filipino movie industry” this year.
However, he revealed that news about an actress’ first pregnancy will “shock” the public because she will get knocked up not by her boyfriend but by another man.
“Very popular itong dalawang ito. Kinikilala ‘to ng madla eh,” Co added.
Kapamilya stars’ predictions
In the same “Buzz” report, Co and Stargazer aired their predictions on the career and health of some of ABS-CBN’s biggest stars.
For comedian and “Showtime” resident judge Vice Ganda, Co said that his career “will still continue to grow to a larger extent” but was advised to “take care of his health."
"He might be even [rushed to the] hospital [in] the middle of this year," Co claimed.
Things are also looking up for “Star Power” champ Angeline Quinto, as Stargazer predicted her career to remain “okay” because she will be blessed with breaks and more projects “left and right.”
Piolo Pascual, according to Co, will receive more awards this year. He even extended his early congratulations to the actor, saying, “I know someday makikilala ka sa larangan ng iyong pag-arte hindi lang sa Pilipinas kundi sa ibang bansa pa.”
Stargazer encouraged Andi Eigenmann, who took a break from showbiz when she got pregnant, to “bounce back” because “there’s so much waiting for her. She’s gonna be welcomed [back] with open arms.”
Anne Curtis will be able to acquire more properties this year; however, Co warned her of a possible vehicular accident.
Stargazer asserted that Enchong Dee’s career will also be “okay” in 2012, but advised him, “while the iron is very hot itong 2012, kailangan matuto siyang mag-save.”
Both psychics also touched on the fortunes of some of the popular reel and real life couples from the Kapamilya stable.
Stargazer believed that “My Binondo Girl” stars Kim Chiu and Xian Lim have “good” chemistry, and wished, “sana mag-prosper nang mabilis.” Individually, she said that “something positive is brewing up with Kim Chiu.”
As for Bea Alonzo, Stargazer said that the actress “has to make a choice at this point whether she really wants to focus on love or focus on work.” On the other hand, her boyfriend Zanjoe Marudo “would be busy” with “a lot of projects.” More, Stargazer predicted that he will have “the tendency to be always out.”
Meanwhile, the lady psychic asserted that Shaina Magdayao needs to accept certain issues before she’d be able to reconcile with her boyfriend John Lloyd Cruz.
“Medyo mahirap para sa kanya itong, sabihing, pagbabalikan [nila]. Medyo ang burden ay nandodoon sa babae,” Stargazer added.
On the other hand, Co said that TV host-actress and presidential sister Kris Aquino’s love life “is still affected by the family decisions.”
“‘Di siya makapag-decide alone. Kailangan din niyang makinig sa kanyang mga kapatid,” said he.
For young actress Julia Montes, Co said, “marami siyang love life na dapat layuan. May mga mali-link sa kanya na pwede niyang iwasan muna.”
On the other hand, he claimed that Montes’ “Mara Clara” co-star Kathryn Bernardo will be involved with older guys, adding, “‘yung mga younger sa kanya or ‘yung ka-age niya, hindi siya swerte.”
Lastly, Stargazer advised Gerald Anderson to control his “aggressiveness” “when it comes to love life.”
She continued, “This is the year definitely that he will get involved with somebody else, na it would be made public. Ito ‘yung year na, ako suggestion ko lang, ‘wag na niyang ilabas para maging maayos.”
Showbiz experts’ ‘fearless forecasts’ on young Kapuso stars
In a separate report on “Unang Hirit” on Jan. 2, entertainment writers Gorgy Rula and Jojo Gabinete, along with GMA showbiz reporter Lhar Santiago, gave their forecasts on five of the Kapuso network’s biggest young actors.
Speaking about Derrick Monasterio, Rula said, “Pagpasok pa lang talaga ni Derrick, nakikita mo na talagang promising siya and mukhang malayo ang mararating niya.
“Leading man material talaga. At saka si Derrick, anak siya ni Tina Monasterio. Pero sandali lang ‘yung tinakbo ng career niya sa showbiz, nakilala siyang sexy star. Itong anak niyang si Derrick, mukhang babawi ng bonggang-bongga,” he said.
For other tween star, Alden Richards, Gabinete opined that his career will likewise improve this year.
“Kasi si Alden may dalang swerte. Nung sumali siya sa ‘StarStruck,’ hindi siya nanalo pero siya ‘yung nagkaroon ng pinakamalaking break,” he said.
Rula added, “At saka kung swerte ka, dagdagan mo pa ng talent. Kasi ang sabi nila siya daw ang susunod na John Lloyd Cruz. So dapat patunayan ni Alden ‘yon. Galingan niya.”
Referring to both Monasterio and Richards, Santiago said, “Sinasabi na sila talaga 'yung mga future matinee idols dahil sila 'yung may height, saka' yung looks.”
Meanwhile, Rula noticed that Rocco Nacino, “sa lahat ng pinapasok niya, kina-career niya. Lahat ng pinapagawa sa kanya, maliliit na bagay, kina-career niya.
“Kaya talagang deserving siya kung ano man ang makukuha niya,” he concluded, adding later on that the actor “has talent.”
Gabinete praised Bea Binene for her acting ability and good looks, but advised her to tone down "‘yung pagiging minsan pa-cute siya.”
“Kasi magaling ka na eh, hindi mo na kailangang gumawa ng isang bagay para mapansin,” said he.
For his part, Rula predicted, “malay natin medyo after mga two to three years, magpo-pose ‘yan sa FHM. Sexy kasi siya eh.”
Lastly, Gabinete praised Kristoffer Martin for his acting, specifically on the primetime soap “Munting Heredera."
Rula opined, “At saka kay Kristoffer dapat talaga alagaan mabuti ng GMA Artist Center. Kasi pwede siyang sumunod sa yapak ni Aljur Abrenica, pwede siyang magpa-sexy-sexy, pwedeng hunk ang dating. Kasi ang gwapo niya ngayon saka ang ganda ng katawan niya.”
In parting, Rula stressed the importance of the network’s support to their talents.
“‘Yun rin nga ‘yung sana gusto kong sabihin, nasa GMA Artist Center na rin ito kung papa’no nila maaalagaan ng husto ‘yung career. Kasi kung ‘di napapansin ng iba, merong ibang artista na ang lakas sa TV [pero] pagdating sa movies mahina.
“Challenge ‘din ‘to sa GMA Artist Center na mapaganda ‘yung career ng talents nila para lumakas din sila sa movies. Hindi ‘yung pang-TV lang. Marami eh. Ang daming fans na papuntahin mo sa mall show, punong-puno ang mall. ‘Pagdating sa sine, ba’t walang nanood?” said he.
