Claudine Barretto to sue bank employees involved in 'withdrawal' issue

Claudine Barretto is said to be bent on filing a case against two bank employees, one of which is Raymart Santiago’s cousin, who allegedly kept her from withdrawing cash from their joint account.
According to Journal’s Jan. 11 report, Barretto is set to file a case against Rio, Santiago’s first cousin who happens to be the branch’s “relation’s officer;” and against the female branch manager who purportedly refused to sign the manager’s check issued by Claudine that was needed to withdraw “P5 million.”
In a previous Bulletin Entertainment report, Barretto and her lawyer, Agnes Maranan, went to the bank to withdraw money October of last year. The amount was not divulged; however, it was reported that the money they were trying to get was no longer available some half an hour after they tried to withdraw it. Apparently, it was taken through “inter-bank withdrawal.”
The report added that Barretto, at first,  did not intend  to file a case against the two bank employees.  However, what pushed her to take action was that, according to the actress, they are yet to apologize for the inconvenience they caused her.
“It’s his responsibility to keep and protect [the] client’s money at all times pero ’di dahil he wants to protect his cousin’s money dahil nakikinig siya sa tsismis,” said Barretto.
The actress recalled that after making a manager’s check, ”tumanggi ang branch manager na pirmahan iyon hangga’t walang go signal ang tinawagan nitong si Rio.”
Apparently, it was Rio who called up Santiago, and when he did not pick up the phone because he’s “in the gym,” Barretto noted in the article that Rio held up the withdrawal “dahil sa ilang tsismis na pinaniwalaan nito.”
“Pera ng mga anak ‘ko ’yon,” insisted Barretto, “Hindi lang naman akin ’yon, 'eh, hindi lang naman kay Raymart ’yon, 'eh.”
As consequence of the alleged "indiscretion" shown by the two employees, Barretto wants them dismissed.
“Kasi, artista 'ka na, nagawa pa sayo ’yon. You put your money there for safekeeping not for them to hold your money," she said.
Second honeymoon
To lighten up the interview, Barretto shared that their second honeymoon will be in Italy on Jan. 24.
"Pinlano namin iyon para makapag-bonding kami kasi hindi pa [nangyayari ‘yun ‘eh]. Parang once pa lang kami nakapag-spend time na kaming dalawa lang, 'yun 'yung 10-day trip namin in Bangkok,” said she.
The reason was "lagi kasi kasama ‘yung mga bata” even during their honeymoon in Amanpulo “kasama pa rin namin si Sabina [their adopted daughter].”
"So, parang ngayon, naisip namin na oras naman para yung kaming dalawa lang talaga. Para talagang makapag-bonding and to really spend time talaga together," Barretto said.
