New witness pins Ramon Joseph

The latest witness in the Ramgen Bautista murder case told police he was asked to find a “replacement killer” after an earlier attempt to assassinate the actor failed.
Lloyd Comeda submitted on Tuesday an affidavit before the Paranaque City Prosecutor’s Office saying one of the suspects, Francis Tolisora, had approached him to ask if he knew someone they could hire to kill Bautista.
Comeda also said he was told that Ramon Joseph Bautista, Ramgen’s brother, was the suspects’ contact man in Ramgen’s house.
Tolisora and his cohort, Michael Nartea, are under preliminary investigation by the prosecutor’s office.
Bautista was shot and stabbed to death last October 28 in his house in BF Homes, Parañaque City. Among those arrested was his brother, Ramon Joseph.
Chief inspector Fergen Torred of Paranaque City Police Intel Division, who is handling the Bautista case, said Wednesday Comeda said Tolisora and another companion, Norwin dela Cruz, first tried to kill Ramgen on October 12.
In a phone interview with Manila Bulletin, Torred said Comeda revealed that it was Ramon Joseph who asked a certain “Bryan” to look for someone to kill Bautista.
Bryan reportedly relayed the request to a certain “Glaiza,” said to be dela Cruz’s live-in partner. It was dela Cruz who tried to recruit Comeda.
Torred said Bryan, Glaiza and dela Cruz – are still at large but “it will be just be a matter of time” before they are arrested.
Torred said the testimony of Comeda has strengthened the evidence against Ramon Joseph.
More revealing details about the case were provided by Janelle Manahan, Ramgen’s girlfriend who was shot in the face by the gunmen.
In her affidavit Manahan said she opened the gate for Ramgen’s sister Ramona on the night of October 28.
Manahan said Ramona was inquiring about a certain video.
Moments later a man wearing a mask and green army jacket followed Ramona in and shot Manahan in the face and shoulder. Manahan fell to the floor and played dead.
Manahan said she heard Ramona screaming “Tama na! (That’s enough!)” and Ramgen telling Ramona to close the door after the gunman had left.
Manahan said she then asked Ramona to get help. Ramona tried to look for the key to Ramgen’s car inside the room so she can drive them to the hospital.
Ramona could not find the key and after Manahan pleaded with her several times to get help she left the house.
When Ramona did not return Manahan sent text messages to family and friends through her cellphone.
Manahan is expected to leave the hospital soon after recovering from a 10-hour surgery on the bullet wound to her face.
Police also submitted to the prosecutor Bautista’s death certificate and autopsy report which indicated that he sustained a gunshot wound and 10 stab wounds.
The fatal stab wound pierced his heart.
The autopsy also revealed that Bautista was shot first before being stabbed several times.
Ramgen’s personal assistant, Ronaldo Ancajas, said that the Bautista siblings were arguing over money before Ramgen’s murder.
Ancajas said Ramon Joseph had sold their car so Ramgen cannot use it. Ramgen informed their father, former senator Ramon Revilla Sr., who got irked with what Ramon Joseph did.
Nartea and Tolisora expected to submit a counter affidavit Thursday.
Ramon Joseph, who is detained at Paranaque City Jail, has waived his right to preliminary investigation. He will be arraigned on November 16.
Ramona is believed to be in Turkey, and the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) is waiting for charges to be filed against her before requesting assistance from the International Police (Ineterpol) in bringing her back.
Torred said that Ramona has to come back once a subpoena is issued. He added that Ramona wil undergo preliminary procedure once a subpoena is released.
Genelyn Magsaysay, mother of Ramgen, RJ and Ramona, expressed her disbelief over the suspicions laid against her two children. She also added that her other children with Ramon Revilla Sr. have been neglected and are in need of their father’s attention and care.
