Mayweather eyes May 5 fight

After reportedly being erased from the list of fighters that Filipino pride Manny Pacquiao has lined up after his bout with Juan Manuel Marquez on November 12, 2011, the flamboyant Floyd Mayweather Jr. is reportedly eyeing the best fight possible on May 5, 2012.
Mayweather is fresh from a controversial knockout on Victor Ortiz last September 17 which allowed the unbeaten boxer to reclaim one of his old welterweight titles. Mayweather holds a 42-0 record, 26 coming from KOs.
“Floyd made it very clear that he wants to give the fans the biggest fights that are out there. He wants to stay active,” adviser Leonard Ellerbe said. “We’re going to do everything in our power to make the biggest fight out there for the fans and we all know what the fight is.”
The biggest fight is said to be referring to no other than Saranggani Rep. Manny Pacquiao, a match that many have been dreaming of but has sadly failed to materialize due to the inability of both camps to strike a deal.
This includes the dope testing demands of Mayweather Jr. to which Pacquiao had already agreed upon. Unfortunately new demands have come into play such as revenue shares to which Mayweather believes he deserves a larger cut.
Aside from Pacquiao, no names have cropped up on Mayweather’s list. Mayweather has fought only five times since 2007.
“Floyd made it very clear that he wants to give the fans the biggest fights that are out there. He wants to stay active,” Ellerbe said. “We’re going to do everything in our power to make the biggest fight out there for the fans and we all know what the fight is.” (with reports from ESPN)

Have a nice day to you.It is right to erase "Mayweather" to the list of pound for pound king because he is not active in participating for their fight of Manny Pacquiao. He was seemed to be afraid of pacman's lightning punch.Thank you.
