Mommy Dionesia, All Set to Party
While the world is preoccupied with of her son, boxer Manny “Pacman” Pacquiao’s hotly-anticipated upcoming title fight with Sugar Shane Mosley, Dionisia Pacquiao is agog over another occasion, her grand birthday bash to be held in General Santos City on May 15.
The Pacmom, also fondly known as Mommy D, revealed in an interview with Bombo Radyo General Santos, that “all is set” for the big event. She admitted the preparation caused her much stress, which she hopes could be relived by a good massage.
The said stress, of course, is not related to money. According to Mommy D, her son, prior to leaving for the Las Vegas fight, already handed to his secretary the money necessary for the shindig.
Among items that the Pacmom made sure are already set and prepared are a number of “outfits” including a custom-designed aqua blue gown that she said would make her look like a “princess.”
To accommodate over 800 guests, the Pacmom said she will celebrate her birthday party in a new boxing gym that Manny had financed in Tambler, General Santos City. No doubt, Mommy D’s birthday bash is growing bigger by the year.
In 2009, on her 60th birthday, her famous son, as reported by abs-cbnnews.com, spent P200 thousand to fete her with a debut-themed party replete with the traditional 18 roses and 18 candles.
The debut theme was repeated last year, with the boxer allegedly spending roughly a million pesos—this aside from the diamond jewelry set he gifted her mom worth almost P800,000—to celebrate her 61st, which ultimately doubled as a victory party to coincide with the multi-millionaire pugilist winning a set in congress, the site also reported.
