Top 3 Tech-Voc Schools in Region XI

I'm back from a 4-day Workshop and Action Planning of the Top 3 Tech-Voc ICT Schools in Cebu City on March 18-21, 2009. It was such an honor to be part of the 48 Top 3 Technical Vocational Schools from among 248 Tech-Voc schools in the country. The training was participated in by the school principals and the ICT school coordinators from the top 3 schools of each region.

In support to the ICT4E Program objectives of the DepEd for Tech-Voc Education to integrate ICT into the curriculum, the ICT Monitoring Officers and TVE Task Force Members conducted an evaluation late last year to all tech-voc schools nationwide. In region 11, the top 3 tech-voc schools are Tagum National Trade School, Digos City National High School and Lupon Vocational High School. The 16 Regional ICT TVHS were determined base on the evaluation criteria developed by the Department which are anchored with the requirements setforth by the existing ICT industry partners of the Department such as the Microsoft Philippines, Cisco Networking Systems and TESDA.
