Attention Deficit Disorder

I have a 6 year-old nephew who cant stay in one place for a long period of time. He would always go around the house all day without feeling tired. Sometimes we would suspect he has an ADHD.
Some children have a condition called attention deficit-hyperactivity disorder. Children with ADHD have trouble controlling themselves and sitting still. They may aggressive. Also they may do poorly in school. Medical experts say about four percent of children have ADHD. A majority of those with the disorder are boys.
On April 1993, a group of American scientists provided the first evidence that ADHD is caused by a gene. They say ADHD can result from a mistake in a gene that controls the body's use of hormones produced by the thyroid. ADHD is especially common in people with a condition known as thyroid hormone resistance.
