Search is on for Batang Tesda


Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) has come up with a new recognition for its outstanding youth graduates in technical education and skills development (TESD).
The TESDA Best, Batang TESDA 2012 Award has been launched to find the best among TESD graduates who are not over 30 years old and have attained the skills excellence and success in their chosen trade careers.
TESDA has two existing institutional awards for outstanding skilled workers and technicians and partners in skills development. These are the Idol ng TESDA Award and the Kabalikat Award. However, no such recognition has ever been given to successful young workers.

Olympic Torch Cheered Through London


The Olympic flame took a festive, valedictory lap around London on Thursday, taking in some of the sun-drenched capital's most famous landmarks and getting a royal welcome on the second-to-last day of its trek across Britain.
The torch; carried by athletes, charity workers and celebrities;  thrilled thousands of Londoners as it swept across Regent's Canal in Camden, through the city's newly renovated neo-gothic train station at St. Pancras and down the winding streets of the ancient City of London. Prince William, his wife Kate, and his brother Prine Harry posed for photographs as torch bearers took the flame to the steps of Buckingham Palace.

Psychic: Kris Aquino Will Tie The Knot In 2013


Hope springs eternal for host-actress Kris Aquino especially now that a Thai fortune-teller predicted that she will find new love and get married soon.
Upon paying a visit to fortune-teller Sawong Kontong during her recent trip to Thailand, Aquino shared on the Thursday episode of “KrisTV,” that he sees her having a “foreigner boyfriend” by “December 10, 2012.”

Apple Releases OS X 10.8


Apple released to the public on Thursday its next-generation operating system (OS) – OS X 10.8, code-named Mountain Lion (ML).
Prior to the official public release, Apple had a preview of the next-generation OS a few months ago.
The features were presented to the public, but the actual preview or beta release was made available exclusively to OS X developers. Fortunately, I am listed as one of the developers so I was able to get the first beta release of Mountain Lion (ML). However, the Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) between Apple and developers with beta access prevented me from writing about ML features that were not presented to the public.

Stem Cell Treatment Alleviated Lorna Tolentino's Back Pain


As if by stroke of magic, Lorna Tolentino’s back pain was eliminated after getting stem cell treatment at a hospital in Germany on July 3.
The whole process only took four days, which included a day for an interview about her health history. The second day was for the treatment itself, with Lorna receiving 10 injections. She rested on the third day and was discharged on the fourth.
