Boy Abunda Reacts To 'Bourne' Director's Comment On Manila


Boy Abunda has taken offense at "The Bourne Legacy" director-scriptwriter Tony Gilroy's comments that Manila is "ugly" and "stinky."
The popular talent manager and news anchor fumed on "Bandila" Wednesday calling Gilroy, "walanghiya."
"After the welcome they got in this country...when interviewed by the BBC you say 'I went to Manila because it stinks'? Unfair 'yan," Abunda ranted.
"Ito'y personal na opinion ko lamang. I don't like to be told that you come to my place because it stinks," he added.

‘Bourne Legacy’ location manager on Pinoy hospitality, top tourist draws

In an interview with The New York Times published on March 22, Griffiths spoke of his and his crew’s stay in Manila for the movie shoot, thus: “The ‘Bourne’ movies are known as a more urban and gritty kind of product, and that was certainly true of Manila. It is congested, with the highest population density in the world. But the people are the best thing about it. Don’t be fooled by the signs everywhere that say ‘Check Your Firearms at the Door.’

Cameras roll for 'Bourne Legacy' in Manila on Jan. 11


Filming for “The Bourne Legacy” will begin tomorrow, Jan. 11, in Malate, Manila.
This is what Metro Manila Development Authority (MMDA) Chairman Francis Tolentino disclosed on “Mornings@ANC” on Tuesday, as reported by abs-cbnnews.com. He specifically mentioned “tourist district areas” San Andres and Remedios Circle, assuring that the production team “[is] ready to shoot tomorrow.”
