Apple Vs. Samsung - Now What Is It To Us Consumers?


The verdict is out - Samsung should pay Apple US$1.05 billion in damages for infringing Apple patents.  The jury ruled that Samsung violated a number of Apple patents in creating a number of Samsung devices.  Samsung countersued for US$422 million but the jury ruled that Apple need not pay Samsung anything.

Samsung Unveils New Galaxy Note


Samsung Electronics Co unveils the second generation of its popular Galaxy Note phone-cum-tablet at Europe's biggest electronics show in Berlin later on Wednesday, as the South Korean firm comes under pressure to innovate after losing a US patent battle with Apple, Inc.
A US federal jury last week found Samsung had copied critical features of the iPhone and awarded Apple $1.05 billion in damages. Apple is now seeking speedy bans on the sale of eight Samsung phones, moving swiftly to turn legal victory into tangible business gain.

Apple Seeks Ban On 8 Samsung Phones


Apple, Inc is seeking speedy bans on the sale of eight Samsung Electronics phones, moving swiftly to translate its resounding court victory over its arch-foe into a tangible business benefit.
The world's most valuable company wasted no time in identifying its targets on Monday: eight older-model smartphones, including the Galaxy S2 and Droid Charge. While Apple's lawsuit encompassed 28 devices, many of those accused products are no longer widely available in the world's largest mobile market.

GALAXY Note debuts, creates waves


Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd., is known as  leading global mobile phone provider. It takes pride of this tag that when other companies went to town with their flagship phones, Samsung took note -- literally. And so came the announcment on the commercial availability of GALAXY Note in Southeast Asia.
