Research from Britain's Sheffield University published this month bolsters the theory that menopause evolved so that older women could focus on being grannies rather than having babies that would compete for finite resources with the offspring of their daughters and daughters-in-law.

What Causes Hair Loss In Women?


There are many causes of falling hair in women including hormonal disturbances brought about by pregnancy and some endocrine diseases; psychological stress and disorders; crash dieting; infections (fungal or bacterial); skin diseases like seborrhea and psoriasis; systemic illnesses like cancer and lupus erythematosus; drugs like some anti-cancer medications; physical and chemical trauma to the scalp as in excessive hair brushing or chemical burning of the scalp during a visit to the beauty parlor; and, alopecia areata, a condition of unknown cause that is characterized by well-circumscribed patches of baldness. But the most common—and this is most probably what causes your problem—is androgenetic alopecia, a hereditary condition that is more pronounced in men than in women that is why it is otherwise called male pattern baldness.

Single Female, Over 30 and 'Too Old' To Marry In UAE


 If you are a 30-year-old Emirati woman and still single, then you have missed the marriage boat: by UAE standards, you are now considered to be too old.
Authorities in the Gulf state say more women are falling into this category: some 60 percent, according to the latest statistics, raising concerns among officials and sparking online debates as to why.
 
The issue has been the focus of discussions for weeks at the Federal National Council, the country's appointed consultative body, where members are scrambling to find a solution to what they believe could be a serious demographic problem.

This plant doesn't need soil


The Tillandsia is a strange grass-like air-plant. Its genus name was dedicated to Swedish botanist Elias Tillands (1640-1693).  There are more than 500 species of Tillandsia, and they are native from the north to the mid-Atlantic region of the United States and as well as South America.  The Tillandsias is a relative of the bromeliad and pineapple plants which belong to the Bromeliaceae plant family.

Santa rescues driver from fire


A former volunteer firefighter in a Santa suit grabbed a man from a burning vehicle and then directed traffic around a two-vehicle traffic accident this week in the Dallas area, the Santa-clad man said on Wednesday.
Brad Luddeke received worldwide attention after photos shot by passersby of him dressed as Santa directing traffic were sent to local media outlets.

Man's finger reveals all about his manhood

Sorry boys, but it does seem the size of your fingers is a pretty good guide to your manhood.

Long regarded as a myth and source of much amusement, scientists have now confirmed that the length of a man's index finger relative to his ring finger can reveal his penis size.

Korean scientists studied 144 men and discovered that the ratio between their second and fourth fingers - known as digit ratio - was directly linked to penile length.
