Free Wi-Fi Access For Passengers

Travelers using the four airport terminals in Manila can now enjoy free wireless-fidelity (WIFI) connectivity following the official launch of Globe Telecom’s free Internet service at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport Tuesday.

The free WIFI enables both departing and arriving passengers in all airport terminals including the domestic airport, to work online, check emails or travel itineraries, and surf the net while at the airport.

Globe Network upgrade to withstand weather disturbances

Globe Telecom has reported the completion of its network upgrade as it promised customers improved service even during extreme weather disturbances.

In a press release, the firm said it had made improvements in its network transport backbone via expanded fiber optic coverage and line protections, such as in Mindanao and South Luzon.

Habitat and Globe Telecom to Build Homes for Teachers

Non-profit housing organization Habitat for Humanity Philippines and Globe Telecom are again teaming up to build new homes for some of the country’s unsung heroes.

Recently chosen by Globe Telecom as one of the four beneficiaries of its widely anticipated charity fun run, the Globe Run for Home 2011, on March 27, Habitat for Humanity announced that funds raised from the event will be used to provide decent shelters for public school teachers.
