Home-based blogger tops TESDA contest

A home-based blogger from Batuan, Bohol won the top prize in the first blog entry contest held by the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA).

The grand prize winner, Irish Blanca D. Igcol, 26, published her winning piece, “Sa TESDA, May Choice Ka” in her blog site, Creative Thoughts, winning over 23 other blog entries.

Pinay blogger featured on Teen Vogue’s website

Filipina blogger Camille Co is definitely taking the fashion world by storm. After being crowned by fashion brand Mango as their Spring-Summer 2012’s “It Girl” December last year, where she bested five other contestants from New York, Stockholm, Poland and Vigo, Spain, Co is now featured in the section of Teen Vogue’s website called “Blogger of the Moment.”

Google is retiring 'Picasa' and 'Blogger'

Picasa and Blogger, as you know them, are biting the dust.

Google is retiring the two services – well, they're not retiring them so much as renaming them. Yup, say hello to “Google Photos” and “Google Blogs.” Mashable has reported that several other Google services may also get the renaming axe, but YouTube will be immune during this transition period.
