The Pretty And Smart Aspire S7

In this fast-paced age, where offices no longer mean physical spaces and a very thin line divides work and vacation, it is best to carry the tool where you can be highly productive yet fashionably cool wherever you go.
Imagine a notebook that has a display thinner than a smartphone’s but supports full HD and 10-finger multitouch, a keyboard that adjusts to ambient light for day and night use, and an improved cooling system that eliminates that unwanted hot air in your lap or on your table.
Launched in front of the local IT media, the Acer Aspire S7 Ultrabook marries excellent functionality and sleek form. This latest upgrade to Acer’s line of thin and light ultrabooks comes with the Corning Gorilla Glass 2 cover, which combines white glass, glowing light and anodized aluminum for a sophisticated look and feel.

Designed for young and dynamic professionals who are keen on status and style, the Aspire S7 has a 0.55mm display cover that contributes to the unit’s 11.9mm thinness and ultralight weight. It also has an aluminum unibody and a strong, scratch-resistant screen that can withstand long-haul travel for people on-the-go.
For professional graphic artists, sales executives and marketing communicators who want an alternative user interface and better show-sharing, the Aspire S7-191offers a full HD 11.6-inch IPS touchscreen with wide viewing angle and 10-finger multitouch.
Users can present images and videos with consistent texture and color on all sides in viewing angles of up to 178 degrees. A hotkey enables the unit to be tilted flat at 180 degrees to allow simultaneous viewing and pointing.
The Aspire S7-191comes with a 128GB SSD and RAID 0 support. It also has a multi-gesture touchpad that allows two-finger scroll, pinch, rotate and flip, and supports online video calls and video conferencing via the Acer Crystal Eye HD webcam and Acer Video Conference Manager software with Video Quality Enhancement technology.
For improved performance and productivity, the series is also available in a 13.3-inch version with higher storage capacity. Offering almost the same specifications found in the smaller unit, the Aspire S7-391 is equipped with a 256GB SSD, RAID 0 support, 13.3” Full HD multi-touch display and an Acer Zoom Perfect touchpad that supports single- or five-finger scroll, pinch, rotate and flip.
Further supporting the touch technology is the Aspire S7 series’ dual-torque hinge frame design. By making the monitor firmly anchored on the keyboard via an extra torque, Acer has made its ultrabook stiffer and more resistant to finger touch force, thereby reducing the wobble effect experienced in other single-torque units.
The Aspire S7’s electroluminescent (EL) backlit keyboard comes with a light sensor that automatically detects changes in lighting conditions and adjusts the backlight brightness accordingly. This feature improves visibility in low-light environments or during the night.
What’s more, you can place the ultrabook on your lap and never worry about having barbecued legs in the next few minutes. Acer’s TwinAir cooling system, consisting of two strategically located fans performing opposite roles, enhances the heat sinking process. One fan pulls cold air into the unit and the other pushes warm air out.
The unique board design places the hottest components away from the user’s fingertips and palm area, maintaining a cool keyboard and better thermal control.
