KC Concepcion Gets A ‘Star’ From French Admirer
Actress-host KC Concepcion has been getting some royal treatment lately from an admirer, French filmmaker and writer Pierre-Emmanuel Plassart.
Plassart surely knows how to dote on a woman, recently naming a star after the “X Factor Philippines” host.
“Yeah oo nga. Nagbigay siya ng star,” confessed Concepcion in a taped interview aired on “The Buzz” on Sunday.
“Eh nasa Boracay kami so we were looking at the sky. Tapos sabi niya first time daw niyang makita ‘yung mga stars sa sky, sa beach dito sa Philippines. Sabi niya, ‘One of those is yours,’” KC recalled.
She was initially baffled about what Plassart meant but later grasped the gesture.
“Parang binili niya 'yung star for me. So may isang star diyan na nakapangalan sa akin daw and then may certificate 'yung constellation kung saan naka-locate 'yung star,” she said.
Having a star named after someone is a service offered by organizations like International Astronomical Union and other large observatories like the Sydney Observatory. “Buzz” noted that “buying” a star usually amounts to “$200 or higher.”
Meanwhile, although she admittedly feels “special” because of Plassart’s efforts, Concepcion maintained that her “visitor from France” has yet to win her heart completely. Still, his effort in flying all the way to the Philippines to be with her did not go unnoticed.
“Malaking bagay sa akin na nagpunta siya sa bansa natin para bisitahin ako, para puntahan ako kung nasaan ako. Kahit na ang layo layo ng pinanggalingan niya,” said she.
But the 27-year-old singer-turned-host emphasized that she is in no rush to fall in love.
“He’s very sweet. Totoong tao siya. Let’s see, let’s see na lang,” she quipped.
Concepcion, who’s been single for over a year now after calling it quits with Piolo Pascual, said that she hopes to focus on her career for now.
“Ito ‘yung time na gusto kong magpakabusy sa work kasi marami pa akong gustong gawin. Marami pa akong gustong i-achieve dito sa trabaho,” Concepcion enthused.
According to the report, Plassart comes from a well-to-do family that has a supermarket empire in France.
