Venus Raj Enumerates What She Loves About BF Andrei Felix
Miss Universe 2010 fourth runner-up Venus Raj is in a good place right now, not only in terms of her career but also in her love life.
Almost two months since Raj confessed about her now six-month relationship with her “Umagang Kay Ganda [UKG]” remote segment co-host Andrei Felix, the beauty queen still can’t help but flash her megawatt smile and blush every time her beau’s name is broached. Clearly her relationship with him is adding positive vibes to her already peachy character.
The feeling is obviously mutual, as seen when Felix made an appearance on “KrisTV," where he declared Raj to be “The One” for him.
To this, an overwhelmed Raj said that she fervently believes that their meeting was something that’s probably orchestrated by fate.
“Sabi nga ni Maffy [her friend], people are destined to know each other and I’m lucky I [found] the one. And we were at the right place at the right time. So siguro may reason ang lahat ng pangyayari,” Raj said in an exclusive Bulletin Entertainment during the re-launching of Dermclinic’s website on May 19 at the SM Mall of Asia.
Since they got together, Raj related that she became more inspired to work even if it means waking up earlier than most other people [“UKG” starts at 4:45 a.m].
“So ‘yon siguro sobrang blessed lang ako na every morning when I wake up at 3 in the morning talagang inspired kang pumasok. Na hindi ka mababagot na ‘ahh, gigising nanaman ako ng pagkakaaga-aga, ayoko na.’ Walang ganon kasi inspired ka na makikita ko siya sa araw na ‘to,” she related.
Contrary to Felix’s somewhat spunky façade, Raj said that her BF is actually one gentle, God-fearing and, best of all, family-oriented soul. These characteristics, according to Raj, were something she discovered when she met his family.
“‘Yun ‘yung ano, kung hindi mo siya kilala bilang tao, siguro ‘yung deeper understanding lung sino siya or kung anong lifestyle meron siya or ‘yung parang medyo vague pa ‘yung pagkakakilala mo sakanya, ‘ok’ parang ganon lang.
“Pero pag nakita mo ‘yung family niya, sasabihin mo ‘Wow ganitong tao pala ito! Maganda pala ang pagpapalaki sa lalaking ito, family-oriented pala siya, maka-Diyos pala siya,” shared the 22-year-old beauty-queen-turned-host about her “Luvy.”
Raj said she’s also very lucky to find someone like Felix, who's been consistently sweet with her.
“‘Yung everyday parang pinapafeel niya sayo na it’s like the first month of the relationship. Like may event lang ako, pag-uwi ko or pagdating ko sa kotse, halimbawa naghihintay siya sa kotse may flowers na kaagad ako. ‘Yung ganon. ‘Yung wow ang effort na ang haba ng hair ko! “Raj enthused laughing.
But she says that she especially treasures Felix’s transparency as a person and his sense of maturity in handling their relationship.
“Hindi siya takot na magpakita ng emotion sa akin. Kung gusto niyang umiyak, iiyak siya. Kung naiinis siya, sasabihin niya sa akin. At talagang pinaguusapan ‘yung mga misunderstandings,” Raj related.
Raj recalled that when misunderstandings would crop up in past relationship, she would be in a bad mood for a long time because her ex wasn’t sensitive enough to even ask if she’s okay.
But with Felix, “Makita niya lang na medyo iba na ‘yung mukha ko ‘What’s wrong? Are you ok?’ ‘yung ganito, kumbaga pinapagusapan so maganda kasi naso-solve.”
