Iza braves wardrobe malfunction
Newly-transferred Kapamilya star Iza Calzado pushed through with her dance number on “ASAP 2012,” Sunday, despite her leggings getting torn, exposing her legs.
In her official Twitter account (@MissIzaCalzado) on Sunday, Calzado said she’s thankful that her production number was about to end when the incident happened.
“Omg!!!!!!!! Major wardrobe malfunction! My leggings ripped when I did my split! Buti na lang no more lifts after :p Thankful for wide shots,” she said.
Calzado thanked Johnny Manahan, who is the director of “ASAP,” for taking wide camera shots.
“Sabi nga sa akin Ng Tatay ‘Ko.. "The show MUST go on!!!" I'm really glad the shot was far. Thank you God and thank you Mr. M,” she said.
Other Kapamilya stars who had suffered the same horrible fate were Karylle and Anne Curtis both back in 2010
On March 2010, Curtis, who was wearing a bikini in Boracay and dancing onstage for then “ASAP XV,” had a nip slip when the right part of her top folded and accidentally showed her right breast. The photo, which went viral on social networks such as Facebook, also landed in different gossip sites, blogs and tabloids.
Sam Milby, her former boyfriend, rushed to comfort the actress, who was shaking and crying after the dance number. Curtis said she even used double-sided tape to secure the top of her bikini before the dance number.
A month later, Karylle also figured in a wardrobe malfunction incident in Boracay during a separate “ASAP XV” episode.
The photo that surfaced in cyberspace captured the singer whose bra top appears to have slipped. She was doing a production number in the shot with Yeng Constantino and Vina Morales.
On the same day, entertainment host Marie Lozano said via her Twitter account that “it wasn’t a nip slip but a wardrobe malfunction.”
Then, hours later, she posted another tweet assuring everyone that it wasn’t what it appears to be.
“There was a wardrobe malfunction but not much was exposed coz karylle was wearing a nipple tape. Technically, no nip slip!” said Lozano.
