Hot CPUs Would Love These!
A pair of CPU coolers from Deepcool, an ISO 9000-certified manufacturer of thermal dissipation components and supplier to leading PC vendors, such as Dell, Fujitsu, and Siemens, has come our way via our friends from Acrotech.
Below is a quick look at the Killer Whale and Tiger Shark (interesting names for CPU coolers, if we might say so).
Killer Whale
Deepcool’s Killer Whale CPU cooler comes with several clips and is designed to support Intel LGA1366, LGA1155, LGA1156, and LGA775, and AMD’s AM3, AM2+, and AM2 motherboards. It comes equipped with six sintered heat pipes, which enable the unit to remove heat from the processor promptly, keeping it from overheating.
Meanwhile, its copper base, which is polished to mirror-like shine, provides perfect connection with the CPU’s surface. Its 120 x 120 x 48mm fan, which comes with built-in blue LED, provides an ideal equilibrium of airflow and noise level.
The unit also comes with 55 pieces of aluminum fins whose wide surface drive away heat efficiently. Its rubber buckles enables the cooler to operate in silence, while cooling the CPU, as well as surrounding parts and components, such as the mainboard, memory card, and chipset.
It supports a wide range of processors, including Intel’s Core i7/i5/i3, Core 2 Extreme, Core 2 Quad, and Pentium D, as well as AMD’s Phenom II X6/X4/X3/X2, Phenom X4/X3, and Athlon II X4/X3/X2.
Tiger Shark
Deepcool’s Tiger Shark CPU cooler integrates several clips, which enable it to support Intel’s LGA1366/1155/1156/775 and AMD’s AM3/AM2+/AM2 motherboards. Although it comes with two fewer sintered powder heatpipes than the Killer Whale, the unit is quite capable of conducting heat away from the processor, preventing overheating in the process.
The Tiger Shark comes with features almost identical to those of the Killer Whale, such as nickel-plated copper base that provides perfect contact between the unit and the CPU’s surface; nickel-plated aluminum fins (also with large surface) that removes heat efficiently; 120mm fan with cover frame that can absorb vibration and noise.
The Tiger Shark is optimally designed for overclockers.
It is compatible with Intel’s Socket 130W and comes with support for the LGA1366/LGA1155/LGA1156/LGA775 motherboards and a wide range of Intel processors, including Core i7/i5/i3, Core 2 Extreme, and Core 2 Quad.
The Deepcool Tiger Shark, however, is equally friendly with AMD’s products. It supports AMD Socket125W, and is compatible with the FM1/AM3+/AM3/AM2+/AM2 motherboards and with AMD processors, including Phenom II X6/X4/X3/X2 and Phenom X4/X3.
We here at Technews hope to install these CPU coolers on our in-house systems shortly. Stay tuned for our feedback on how they would fare.
