Top TV networks roll out new program lineups
GMA-7, ABS-CBN, and TV5 have announced their latest program lineup for early 2012.
This month, GMA-7 will premiere its newest afternoon dramas, “Broken Vow,” “The Good Daughter” and “Hiram na Puso,” while shows “Alice Bungisngis and her Wonder Walis,” “Biritera,” “Legacy” and “My Beloved” will be included on its primetime block.
“This time we're kinda veering away from the heavy fantasy and adventure…
“Siyempre nandiyan pa rin 'yung third element na ‘outside of the ordinary’ katulad ng makikita sa 'My Beloved,' makikita ng mga bata sa 'Alice Bungisngis,' pero drama siya. Compelling drama, maganda ang istorya, maganda ang casting, talagang susubaybayan,” said she.
On the other hand, ABS-CBN’s new and original programs include “Kung Ako'y Iiwan Mo,” “Nang Dahil sa Pag-ibig,” “Oka2kat,” “Wako Wako,” “E-Boy,” “Mundo man ay Magunaw,” “Lumayo ka man sa Akin” and “Walang Hanggan.”
A report on ANC’s “Mornings@ANC” mentioned that a new series starring Kathryn Bernardo, Sam Concepcion, Daniel Padilla and “Pilipinas Got Talent” runner-up, Kahlil Ramos is also in the works.
This year also sees the return of the Kapamilya network’s biggest reality show series, “Pinoy Big Brother: Teen Edition” and game show, “Kapamilya Deal or No Deal.”
Touted as the “Home of Asianovelas,” the network will also air top 2011 Korean dramas, “Heartstrings” and “City Hunter.” Animé shows “Naruto,” “Sailormoon” and “Gashbell!” will grace local TV as well.
Meanwhile, TV5's lineup boasts of new reality shows. According to a press release, this includes homegrown shows, namely, “Dancing Nation,” “Kanta Pilipinas” and “Temptation Island: Dare to Win,” a show “inspired by Regal Entertainment's '80s cult classic ‘Temptation Island.’"
Big title shows “Extreme Makeover: Home Edition Philippines,” “The Biggest Game Show in Asia” and “The Amazing Race Philippines" are also included in the Kapatid network's roster of new programs.
