KC Concepcion's inspiration for mag cover: 'Feelings, emotions'
TV host-actress KC Concepcion didn't let the pain of heartbreak get the best of her; it was, apparently, the other way around.
Amid the positive buzz generated by her stunning cover for Rogue magazine, KC revealed in jest to "TV Patrol" that her inspiration for the pictorial were "feelings, emotions."
The cover photo shows the Kapamilya actress—clad in a white high-cut, one-piece swimsuit—with her back to the camera, her pet python Coco coiled around her left wrist, and her hand clutching the hair of a man's bust.
As for her butt that she showed off in the cover, KC kidded, “Papa-insure ko na nga 'to.”
The Mega-daughter is grateful for the positive comments she's received for her magazine photos. In a separate report by ABS-CBN News, she likewise thanked the "Rogue team and, of course, my beloved Mark Nicdao (photographer), Celeste Tuviera (hair stylist), Pam Quinones (stylist) and Juan Sarte (make-up artist) for being a part of my journey."
The shoot, coincidentally, took place during her breakup with singer-actor Piolo Pascual, the same report added.
“Sa lahat ng naging mistakes ko, parang sinakyan nila lahat. Ni-ride nila 'yung journey ko. ‘Yung alon na ‘yon, parang sila ‘yung kasabay kong sumakay sa alon na ‘yon," she related.
KC remains positive following the tempest that rattled her personal life.
“Tuloy-tuloy lang naman 'yung buhay, 'di ba? So with every mistake naman, you change hopefully for the better. You just try to be the best person you can be," she said in her "TV Patrol" interview.
Although sans a love life, KC still feels carefree and warm inside thanks to her fans.
“Sa ngayon, kinikilig ako sa mga fans at kinikilig ako sa trabahong meron tayo ngayon. Now, I know what it means to make your work your love life," she told ABS-CBN News.
Another reason that KC stays upbeat is her 17-year-old half-sister, Cloie Syquia-Skarne, who's currently in the country for a vacation. Cloie is Gabby Concepcion's daughter to former actress Jenny Syquia.
KC and Cloie were seen bonding together at eventologist-host Tim Yap's recently held "Mad Hatter"-themed birthday party.
"We were playmates when she was a baby, so maganda lang na after 15 years, magkasama kami ulit," KC enthused on "24 Oras," Jan. 25.
Her mother, Megastar Sharon Cuneta, is likewise thrilled over Cloie's visit.
"…sumusigaw siya sa phone. Hindi siya mapakali!" said KC.
KC is a supportive "ate" to Cloie, who also wants to follow her footsteps in showbiz, starting off with modeling.
“Kung saan siya masaya, I want her to explore in the same way na nag-explore ako. Mahal ko 'to eh,” she said on "TV Patrol."
