Anne promises to take her fans to the next level in 'No Other Concert'

There’s an ongoing “Anne-mania” over at Twitter and Anne Curtis herself spearheaded the craze with her “AnneBisyosa No Other Concert” countdown.
Last week, days before her big performance at the Smart Araneta Coliseum, Curtis commenced her own countdown and her 2, 229, 668 followers gladly jumped on board.
If you were to read her recent tweets, you’d know that she’s truly psyched and over the moon about her upcoming concert, yet, somewhere in between, there’s obvious disbelief that she’s finally about to make one of her dreams come true.

“NAPAKA-ANNEBISYOSA ‘ko talaga. I can't believe i'm having my first solo concert at SMART ARANETA! Saaaaabeeeeh!,” posted the “Showtime” host on Jan. 24 (@annecurtissmith).
Aside from her tweets, she also posted updates about prepping for the event like her band rehearsals with dance group G Force and singer Rico Blanco, and the fittings she has done for her costumes made by local designers Rajo Laurel, Martin Bautista and Dubai-based designer Michael Cinco, among others.
With this, Curtis is clearly all set for her first ever solo concert and world tour.
“First and last kasi parang ineenjoy ‘ko siya at may world tour pa siya so super duper excited,” Curtis was quoted as saying in the Thursday report of “Umagang Kay Ganda.”
You might be wondering why she dubs her Saturday show as her “first and last concert,” the reason she said in a previous interview was “hindi ‘ko alam kung kaya ‘ko pa itong gawin ulit" and that “for fun lang ito, representing all nonsingers in the world.”
She however added being part of the music scene made her appreciate singers even more. “Sobrang saludo ako talaga sa mga totoong singers,” said she.
An inspiration
The box office actress noted many times either via her Twitter account or “Showtime” that she “can’t sing,” yet here she is about to step into the Big Dome for a one-night-only concert.
And to this she only has one advice, “#DreamBig Dreams really do come true. #AnnebisyosaNoOtherConcert.”
On her Thursday interview on “KrisTV,” Anne said that aside from fulfilling her lifelong dream, the reason she pursued becoming a singer was because she was once bullied for her singing voice.
"Na-bully ako when I was 25. Ano po 'yon sa ‘Showtime,’ binully ako na pangit daw ang voice ‘ko nakakarindi at ang ingay ‘ko daw," Curtis said.
To counter the negative feedback, Curtis persevered to become a recording star.
"And look at me now, magko-concert na ako sa Araneta. So you know whatever it is na binu-bully sa iyo just try and take it... Ignore them and pursue whatever it is or what it is that you want to be and just keep on being yourself and don't change who you are for anyone. Love yourself first before you love others," Curtis said.
