Eugene stands behind Piolo amid KC controversy
“Festival Queen” Eugene Domingo's admits constant communication with friend Piolo Pascual, especially after the latter had gone through a controversial breakup with ex-girlfriend KC Concepcion.
But the multi-awarded actress-comedienne revealed in a report posted at GMA News Online, Friday, that despite their constant texting, they are yet to talk about the issue.
As if sending a message to the hunk actor, Eugene articulated in the report that she’s willing to lend him an ear soon as he’s willing to open up. But in the meantime, she won’t meddle in his affairs, mainly as a sign of respect to someone she considers a friend—one who also happens to be the producer of her well-received film “Kimmy Dora.”
Eugene, who will be seen in three films in this year’s Metro Manila Film Festival, also defended her friend regarding speculations about his sexuality.
" I love Piolo sa kaibuturan ng aking puso. Marami ang opinion, ang mga haka haka. Well, hindi naman natin maiiwasan dahil sila ay sikat na personality, lalo na si Piolo, number one talaga siya. Pero sa amin, sa personal naming relasyon, ay mahal na mahal ko [siya]. Po-proteksyunan ko siya sa anumang binabalak laban sa kanya. I will be protecting him because I love him," Eugene stated in an interview with abs-cbnNEWS.com ported on Dec. 1.
Even though a lot has been said against Piolo, what with the telling interview of KC on “The Buzz,” she said she has nothing bad to say about the daughter of Megastar Sharon Cuneta.
The “Shake, Rattle and Roll 13” star pointed out, " Ang dali daling manghusga at mag-conclude. Wala naman tayo sa sitwasyon na 'yon [para magsalita]. Hindi naman natin sila kilala at nakikita araw-araw..."
She added: "Wala din akong paghuhusga kay KC o kaninuman. It's just, marami tayong sinasabi. So sana ay huwag na tayong magsalita lalo't hindi tayo kasali."
