Canon launches world's slimmest superzoom

Powered by Canon’s proprietary High Sensitivity (HS) System which automatically minimizes blur and reduces noise, these cameras take stunning photographs effortlessly. The all-new Intelligent Image Stabilizer, when coupled with Smart Auto function, automatically detects and applies optimal camera settings based on up to 78 different shooting scenes resulting in picture-perfect photos every time you press the shutter button. At only 21.9 mm thin, the 12.1-megapixel IXUS 1100 HS is the world’s slimmest2 12x optical zoom lens camera. The flagship model’s improved lens barrel and advanced mounting technology make both high-quality imaging and an ultra slim body design possible.

With a wide, 3.2-inch touchscreen, the new Touch Shutter function enables users to get the shot they want by simply tapping their finger on the screen. Users will also enjoy the highly responsive touch screen with intuitive features such as Touch Auto Focus and Touch Auto Exposure.  The top-of-the-line IXUS comes in luxurious red, black, and silver.

The sleek Canon 12.1-megapixel IXUS 230 HS, available in four playful colors of aqua, lime, plum, pink, silver and black, incorporates a 28 mm 8x optical zoom lens to support a variety of viewing angles, from wide angle to telephoto.

The world’s slimmest 8x optical zoom lens camera, with its power switched off and lens retracted, measures only 18.89 mm thin, smaller than the diameter of a 25-centavo coin.

Additionally, the improved High-Speed Burst function enables the capture of a maximum of 8.7 images per second while the High-Speed Video feature supports video shooting at 240 frames per second, perfect for making dramatic slow-motion videos.
