James Yap bonds with his son Baby James during a photo shoot
On a rare occasion, basketball star James Yap bonded with his son Baby James during a photo shoot. “[Ito ‘yung para sa] coffee table book ng PBA for the last ten years,” the ballplayer shared.
The book apparently highlights past MVPs of the league. “So kasali ako doon. Masaya ako dahil kasama ko ang little boy ko,” James shared on “Showbiz News Ngayon,” Aug. 1.
The father and son tandem appeared in basketball jersey, which made Kris Aquino’s ex-husband truly happier.
“Siyempre masaya talaga. Tingnan mo naman, parehas kami ng outfit. Nakikita mo naman kapag kasama ko siya masaya naman siya,” he said.
Not surprisingly, the two-time MVP (Most Valuable Player) awardee wishes his son Baby James to follow his footsteps in basketball.
“Pinagpe-pray ko rin. Alam mo naman na mahilig din sa basketball ‘to, mahilig din siya sa bola so wish ko din sana pagdating ng panahon parehas (siya) sa Papa niya.”
The Ilonggo player is likewise happy to see his son in various TV commercials, “Natutuwa naman ako dahil siyempre ‘pag nami-miss ko siya makikita ko siya sa TV.”
But for now, James stressed that education is his son’s priority. “Siyempre paglaki, kailangang mag-aral muna siya,” he quipped
