Five incumbent members of the Senate, five former senators, three House representatives, a former congresswoman, and a daughter of the Vice President, are likely to win a Senate, if the May, 2013, elections were held today, a survey conducted by Pulse Asia showed Monday.
The survey conducted from August 31 to September 7, with 1,200 respondents, showed that Senator Loren Legarda (67.3 percent) was the top pick.

The respondents were specifically asked, “Kung ang nasabing halalan sa 2013 ay isasagawa ngayon, sino-sino sa mga sumusunod na personalidad ang inyong iboboto kung sakaling sila ay kakandidato sa pagka-Senador? Puwede kayong pumili ng hanggang 12 pangalan.”
Thirty-six names of personalities were shown to the respondents where they can pick their choices.

Edgardo “Sonny” Angara (35.9 percent), and former Las Piñas Rep. Cynthia Villar have the statistical chance of winning a Senate seat in the May, 2013 elections, based on the survey.
