Sharon still respects Piolo

Despite the pain brought about by the bitter separation between her daughter, KC Concepcion, and actor Piolo Pascual, Sharon Cuneta says that she still “respects” him.
"I still respect him as an actor,” said she in a recent interview with PEP. "I respect the fact na, alam mo ‘yung nagsikap [siya] para marating ang narating niya. I respect that in a person. So, kung sa ganung punto, wala akong problema.”
That said, Cuneta didn’t want to venture too far as to say that she still loves Pascual – as she once declared all too mightily before.
She averred, "Napaka-ipokrita ko naman ‘pag sinabi kong ganun ko pa rin siya kamahal o ganun pa rin siya ka-importante sa akin.”
According to Cuneta, even prior to the breakup she already felt a slight pang of bitterness towards Pascual for not having introduced himself formally to her as a boyfriend of her daughter.
"Kase hindi naman siya nagpakita sa amin or anything. Actually, hindi ko siya nakita since naging boyfriend siya ni KC...so dun pa lang may tampo na 'ko," Cuneta intoned.
Then again, Cuneta is letting bygones be bygones.
"Nung natapos at natapos, siyempre masakit ang loob ko dahil umiyak ang anak ko. [But] ang importante, they've worked things out on their own," she said.
Cuneta is happy for her daughter, saying that Concepcion has already moved on from the hurt brought about by the breakup.
“She's happier now,” said she describing her daughter’s current disposition. "[And] I'm happy that she is."
On the business end of things, Cuneta said she now feels the “pressure” of her alleged billion-peso deal with TV5.
But she quipped, "Okay na rin, kasi tama naman ang presyo!"
Though she still wouldn’t confirm the much ballyhooed amount of her indenture with the network, she isn’t denying it either.
"E, maraming-maraming taon na, on a yearly basis, ang income ko naman, hindi naman nalalayo doon,” she maintained. "So, sabihin na lang nating hindi naman masyadong nakakagulat kasi limang taon naman [duration of the contract]."
She also added, "If the station thinks I'm worth it, who am I to disagree?"
At the moment, Cuneta is gearing up for a two-day, two-venue Valentine’s performances with crooner Martin Nievera.
Cuneta deems the shows very “special.”
"Kasi sa more than three decades ko as a singer and concert performer, first time ever, meron akong magiging ka-back-to-back sa concert—talagang half of everything, sharing stage, splitting it down the middle—and that, of course, is Martin Nievera, the Concert King."
Cuneta disclosed that among other projects in the works for her in 2012 include a film with either ex-husband Gabby Concepcion or good friend, Judy Ann Santos; a daily TV show, and a "weekly talent search [show]" that she claims will be “nationwide."
“[It’s] gonna be very big," she crowed.
Cuneta divulged that she also might be doing a TV soap or a sitcom for the network.
