PNoy Facebook page briefly deactivated

Viruses and spam messages forced the administrator of President Benigno S. Aquino III's official Facebook page last Friday to temporarily bar its over two million followers from directly posting comments on his wall.
The "wall post" was reactivated hours later after the administrator "looked into the matter."
"The wall post on Pnoy's Page is now activated. We had to temporarily deactivate to protect the followers of PNoy (Aquino) from spamming and viruses. You may now resume posting your comments on the wall. Thank you," the administrator's post read.
Earlier in the day, the administrator announced the deactivation of the wall post. Commenting on posts made by the administrator was still allowed.
"This is due to continuous spamming. We assure you that we will look into it and will allow followers to post as soon as possible. Let us be reminded to be very careful on clicking links on Facebook. Thank you," the message read.
Some Facebook followers of the President suspected that the negative comments against the administration triggered the shutdown of the wall post.
The President's Facebook page was launched during the early days of the administration in 2010 as one of its "feedback mechanisms."
Hackers, not viruses or spammers, presented a problem for Vice President Jejomar Binay’s official website.
A group of Filipino hackers has warned administrators of government websites that transferring to a paid hosting "doesn't mean that they are secured."
