Kris unsure of how to be a partner

Kris Aquino believes what her friends, including film director Joyce Bernal, tell her: she is a good mom to her sons, Joshua and Bimby.
"Sinabi niya [Bernal], 'Kitang-kita na mabait kang nanay talaga,'” she divulged to PEP.
Aquino couldn’t agree more that she raised her children well.
"At least ano...parang tina-try ko... Siyempre kasi, ‘di ba? They have so much eh,” she said.
Aquino noted how, despite the accouterments and privileges that come with their wealth, her kids are always courteous and polite to people from all walks of life.
"Nakikita naman ninyo na nagpi-please at thank you ang mga anak ko,” she said, adding, "In fairness naman talaga, magalang [sila]. Like si Joshua calls everybody Kuya and Ate.”
Aquino credits no one but her own mom, former president Cory, on her parenting abilities. “I saw my Mom, e. I saw what a mom was,” she said.
But with seeming frustration, Aquino also admitted her lack of skills as spouse. “I had so few years to see what a wife was.'"
Aquino practically grew up not seeing her mother and her father, the martyred senator, Ninoy, together. She was merely a young tot of two when her father was incarcerated for seven years for supposed subversive activities. She was only 12 when he was gunned down in 1983.
"Siguro ‘yun, e,” Aquino stressed. “That's why ‘yung formation sa akin is that, eto, I know how to be a mom, but I guess I don't know how to be a partner.”
"Pero siguro, okey na rin ‘yun, kasi my sons naman adore me. Cute lang talaga ‘yung dalawa," she added.
After having two kids with different dads, Aquino confessed that she still aims to marry again someday.
"Who doesn't wish to have a partner, ‘di ba?” she said.
Still, she admitted having fears.
"What if he [prospective husband] doesn't get along with them [her children]?" she intimated. "Actually, that was one of the reasons it's hard to end it with James, because Josh really had an attachment [to him]. So, ‘yun.”
Another concern is her siblings.
"What if hindi niya ma-get along ang mga kapatid ko? Si Noy [President Noynoy Aquino], hindi makikialam. Pero ‘yung two sisters ko...’yung older ones, huh, kasi si Viel, mas low-key lang siya. Pero ‘yung ate kong sina Ballsy and Pinky, parang mga mommy ko na rin sila. Sabi ko, part of the package pa, may Boy Abunda, Deo Edrinal [her business managers]. So, sabi ko, kawawa din naman itong lalakeng 'to, ‘di ba?"
This, she says, among others, are the prime reasons she has to lie low relating to her then blooming friendship with actor Diether Ocampo.
"‘Yung mga sisters ko ang na-stress," she said. "Kasi they keep on saying, 'Krissy, he's so cute, ‘di ba?' ‘Yun talaga ang sinabi ng mga sisters ko. And sinabi pa ng mga sisters ko, ‘di ba, he's kinda babaero raw ang reputation. So, why get yourself into that? Sige, para peace na lang, obey! Dati hindi ako nag-o-obey. Ngayon, nag-o-obey."
