Makati tops NAT NCR


 For the third straight year, Makati has earned the top slot in the National Achievement Test (NAT) in the high school level among the school divisions in the National Capital Region (NCR).
Concurrent Department of Education-NCR and DepEd-Makati superintendent Elena Ruiz said the city earned the highest average rating in this year’s NAT taken by second year public high school students in the NCR.
Makati has been consistently topping the NAT high school level, specifically school years 2008-2009, 2009-2010 and 2010-2011. It also placed first in 2005 and 2006 and ranked second in 2007 and 2004.
Ruiz said based on the results released by the National Education Training and Research Center (NETRC), the division of Makati in the high school level got an overall rating of 53.62 percent for English, Math, Science, Filipino and Hekasi. It got the highest average in English with 54.10 percent followed by Mathematics and Science with 43.62 percent and 42.85 percent, respectively.
In the elementary level, Makati ranked fourth overall among other schools in the division of NCR with 65.5 mean percentage score. Last year, it placed sixth with 67.41 percent.
