DBM releases P1 billion for potable water supply
The Department of Budget and Management has released P1 billion to address problems in the supply of potable water in 100 poor municipalities throughout the country, particularly in areas where beneficiaries of the conditional cash transfer (CCT) program reside.
Budget and Management Secretary Florencio B. Abad said the allotment release to the Department of Health (DOH) will be used to construct level I and level II water supply system in beneficiary municipalities or the upgrading and rehabilitation of existing system.
