Unsolicited advice pours for KC and Piolo


Despite actor Piolo Pascual’s appeal for the public to just leave him and former girlfriend KC Concepcion be at the moment – this, after Concepcion caused a huge fiasco when she admitted on national TV that they have broken up – two popular disc jockeys still gave the duo unsolicited advice anyway.
“Ang hinihingi ko na lang ay pag-iintindi sa mga tao. Hindi madali ang proseso. Hindi rin madali yung maraming nakaabang, maraming naghihintay at maraming nakikialam. Ang sa akin, hayaan na lang muna kami, especially si Kristina. It's not easy,” Pascual pleaded.

Bagong Bayani awardees


President Benigno S. Aquino III Thursday hailed overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) for their contributions to the country as he led the awarding of the 2011 Bagong Bayani awardees in MalacaƱang.
“Palatandaan na malapit na dumating ang Pasko ay ang pag-uwi ng mga OFWs nitong Disyembre [One indication that Christmas is near is the homecoming of our OFWs this December],” he said in his speech.
Aquino lauded the OFWs’ sacrifices for their families, saying: “Pinapalaya ninyo ang bansa sa pagkakagapos nito sa kahirapan [You are freeing the country from being bound by poverty).”

Heavier women tend to be more intelligent and produce more intelligent children

According to a study published in the journal Evolution and Human Behavior, larger amounts of lower-body fat correlates to higher neurological function. Scientists found that a woman’s waist to hip ratio (WHR) can be used to predict her cognitive function and the cognitive function of her children. Women with low WHRs and their children tended to have better scores on cognitive tests.
