Shamcey Supsup Receives 'Promise Ring' From BF


Miss Universe 2011 Shamcey Supsup pretty much has what every woman dreams of—fame, beauty, brains and a dashing boyfriend who worships her.
So it’s quite fair to say that it didn't really come as a shocker when Shamcey revealed in a live interview with “The Buzz” on April 8 that her BF, Lloyd Lee, had given her a promise ring recently.
Shamcey related that while they’ve already touched on the issue of marriage in their previous conversations, she was utterly taken aback when Lloyd handed her the ring.

Shamcey Supsup finishes third runner-up in Miss Universe 2011

Shamcey Supsup of the Philippines finished as 3rd runner-up in the Miss Universe 2011 pageant held at the Credicard Hall in Sao Paulo, Brazil earlier today, September 13.

Angola's Leila Lopes was crowned Miss Universe. Lopes, 25, was also the crowd favorite, getting the loudest cheers from the audience.

Olesia Stefanko of Ukraine was the 1st runner-up, while Brazil's Priscila Machado was 2nd runner-up, and China's Luo Zilin was 4th runner-up.

Leila Lopes of Angola is crowned Miss Universe

Leila Lopes from Angola has been crowned as the new Miss Universe.

Lopes beat out 88 other competitors to win the title in Sao Paulo, Brazil.
It was the 60th anniversary of the world's biggest beauty pageant.

Lopes has taken the crown from Mexico's Ximena Navarrete.

Miss Philippines Shamcey Supsup makes it to Miss Universe's Top 10

 Miss Philippines Shamcey Supsup has been named as one of the 2011 Miss Universe pageants 10 semi-finalists.

Supsup has moved on to the next round along with candidates from Australia, Costa Rice, France, Ukraine, Portugal, Panama, Angola, and China.

The report revealed that Miss Universe commentators remarked on Supsup's "million-watt smile."

New Miss Universe set to be crowned in Brazil

A group of 89 beauty queens squared off for the right to be called Miss Universe Monday night, as celebrity judges descended on the red carpet and lit up South America's largest city.

Contestants from six continents have spent the past three weeks in Sao Paulo, trying to learn samba dance steps, visiting impoverished children and kicking a football around for cameras as the globe's biggest beauty contest is held in Brazil for the first time.

Supsup leads in 2 'Miss U' surveys

One day before the anticipated staging of the 60th Miss Universe beauty contest, Miss Philippines Shamcey Supsup topped the two unofficial surveys on favorite candidates for the most prestigious beauty contest in Sao Paulo, Brazil.

In the survey sponsored by Telemundo Network, an American network broadcast in Spanish, Supsup led the Latina-dominated poll with 1,993,948 votes.

She was followed by Miss Venezuela with 1,923,475; Miss Mexico, 1,409,775; Miss Dominican Republic, 1,302,212; and Miss Ecuador with 1,172,196.

Lea Salonga chosen Miss Universe judge

Broadway star Lea Salonga has been chosen as one of the seven telecast judges of the 2011 Miss Universe pageant to be held in Sao Paulo, Brazil, on Sept. 12 (Sept. 13 in the Philippines), as preliminary judges selected the Top 15 semi-finalists for the pageant Thursday night.

Salonga, 40, will be joined by other judges – three-time Indianapolis champion Helios Castroneves, top American broadcast journalist Connie Chung, supermodel Isabeli Fontana, Miss Universe 2003 Amelia Vega of the Dominican Republic, and actress/TV producer Vivica Fox and actress Adrienne Aloof, of the hit series “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.’’
