Why Heart Attack Victims Are Getting Younger


Heart attacks or myocardial infarctions used to occur almost exclusively in older people, but, as you rightfully noted, we are now witnessing an increase inits occurrence among young people.In fact, in industrial countries, possibly as many as 10% of all heart attacks occur in people, mostly men, who are below 45 years of age, and some of the victims are only in their 20s.

Diet soda tied to heart attack, stroke risks: study


 Diet soda may benefit the waistline, but a new study suggests that people who drink it every day have a heightened risk of heart attack and stroke.
The study, which followed almost 2,600 older adults for a decade, found that those who drank diet soda every day were 44 percent more likely than non-drinkers to suffer a heart attack or stroke.
